Janet Bamber - Director & Chair

She was on the original steering group that set up Money Spider. She retired from the Derbyshire Building Society in 2006 after 21 years service. The last 8 years as a Branch Manager in Swadlincote. Previously she worked for 12 years for Barclays Bank in Birmingham and Lichfield. Also Trustee on Board of South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau.

Keith Hutchinson - Director, Vice Chair & Chair of Credit Committee

BSc(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in the Motor Industry, Nuclear Power and then the Brewing Industry, in a project planning capacity, and also on joint company / Trades Union committees. Chair of the Burton Branch of Amicus Trade Union for many years. He took early retirement in 1997, and after some part time agency work became involved with the Steering Group for Money Spider.

Malcolm Wright - Director and Treasurer

He was on the original steering group that set up Money Spider. He is a Qualified Associate Cost and Management Accountant now retired after nearly 38 years with a leading UK brewing and pubs company. He was finance director of a major division and latterly managing director of international retail operations. Presently chair of South Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau and a trustee director of The Old Post Regeneration Association Ltd.

Stuart Calder - Secretary

He joined the steering group just before Money Spider became officially registered in 2003. He has worked for and volunteered and supported several credit unions across the Midlands. Having returned to the Midlands in early 2003 and has worked within the community and voluntary sector for 2 local authorities.

Susan Edmonds - Director

Joined Money Spider in 2005 and was involved in the establishing of the inclusion of Burton into the common bond. Now serve on the Board and on the credit committee. Began her working life in West Bromwich Building Society and now a Parish Councillor and a Community Development worker in Winshill for the Burton Transformation Trust.

Alan Lee - Director, Insurance Officer & Compliance Officer

Joined Money Spider in 2006 and has been a director since 2007. He lives in Church Gresley, having moved from the London area on taking early retirement.  He held a senior position in a leading department store group, being employed there for over 40 years.  For most of that time was responsible for consumer credit and the development and operation of a computer system.

Ann Wright - Director

Involved with Money Spider since its inception and regularly operate collection points. Has extensive experience in the local voluntary sector. Until leaving to have children she worked as Secretary at local brewery. She assisted in running of local playgroup until restarting work as Coordinator of Social Car Scheme for South Derbyshire CVS.

David Sayer - Director

He joined the Voluntary Service Overseas in the 1960s and taught on the island of St. Helena. His teaching career continued in Derby and Swadlincote finishing with 11 years as Head of St. George’s Primary School in Church Gresley. He retired in 2005 after 10 years as Sales Director of a Huddersfield based company. He is currently Leading Elder of Oasis Christian Fellowship and sits on the Grants and Awards Panel of the Leicestershire and Rutland branch of the Prince’s Trust. He joined Money Spider in 2008.

Graeme Royall - Chair of the Supervisory Committee

He has worked in the Citizens Advice Bureau service for 13 years and currently manages the South Derbyshire Citizens’ Advice Bureau. He is also a trustee for South Derbyshire CVS. He has been a volunteer with Money Spider since 8 years and has been Chair of the Supervisory Committee for the last 4 years.
